As a fan of the original The Last of Us, I was excited to experience the remastered version on the PlayStation 4. While the game is a masterpiece of storytelling, it is not without its flaws
Starting with the positives, The Last of Us Remastered is an absolute masterpiece of storytelling. The character development and plot are top-notch, and the voice acting and writing are some of the best in the industry. The world of the game is immersive and detailed, and the gameplay is tense and intense. The visual and sound design are also impressive, with realistic character models and environments and a fitting soundtrack.
However, there are a few issues that hold the game back from being perfect. One of the biggest complaints from players is the stealth gameplay, which can be somewhat clunky and frustrating at times. The AI of the enemies can also be somewhat inconsistent, with some enemies being able to spot you from a mile away while others seem completely oblivious to your presence. The controls can also be a bit unwieldy at times, especially when trying to aim and shoot accurately.
In addition, the game can be quite short for some players, with a main story that can be completed in around 10-15 hours. While the game does offer some replay value through the inclusion of collectibles and unlockables, it may not be enough for some players who are looking for a longer experience. The lack of multiplayer is also a drawback for some players, as it limits the replay value and social aspect of the game.
Despite these issues, I still consider The Last of Us Remastered to be one of the best games of all time. The storytelling and character development are unmatched, and the world of the game is immersive and detailed. While the gameplay and controls can be somewhat flawed, they do not detract from the overall experience.
Fun factor: 95
The Last of Us Remastered is a lot of fun to play, with intense and immersive gameplay and a top-notch story and character development. The world of the game is detailed and immersive, and the various puzzles and challenges add an extra layer of depth to the gameplay. However, the somewhat clunky stealth gameplay and inconsistent AI of the enemies can sometimes take away from the overall fun factor.

Visual and sound quality: 95
The visuals and sound design in The Last of Us Remastered are both impressive and well-done. The character models and environments are realistic and detailed, and the cutscenes and cinematics are top-notch. The sound design is also fitting, with a great soundtrack and realistic sound effects.
Replayability: 75
The Last of Us Remastered has some replay value through the inclusion of collectibles and unlockables, but the main story can be completed in around 10-15 hours. The lack of multiplayer also limits the replay value and social aspect of the game.
Level of challenge: 85
The level of challenge in The Last of Us Remastered can vary depending on the difficulty level chosen by the player. The game offers a range of difficulty levels, from easy to very hard, which allows players to adjust the challenge to their preference. The puzzles and challenges throughout the game can also add an extra level of challenge. However, the somewhat inconsistent AI of the enemies can sometimes make the game feel easier or harder than it should be.
Overall, The Last of Us Remastered is a masterpiece of storytelling that is not to be missed. The character development and plot are top-notch, and the world of the game is immersive and detailed. While the gameplay and controls can be flawed and the game may be short for some players, the overall experience is still one of the best in the industry. If you're a fan of storytelling and character-driven games, The Last of Us Remastered is a must-play.
